I would never have thought to make my own soya bean milk, if not for my Thermomix. Of course, you can get it from any grocery stores, but homemade is always better. Fresh soya bean milk in 20 minutes - so quick and easy, why not right! Best of all, without preservatives.🥛 I’ve tried a few soya bean milk recipes including the no-strain method as well, but this is my family’s fav! 𝗦𝗢𝗬𝗔 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗞 🥛 • 100g organic soy beans (dry weight) • 1200g water, for cooking • 45g rock sugar or raw sugar • 2-3 pandan leaves, knotted (optional) 1) Weigh out soy beans and soak them in water overnight. 2) Before using, drain beans and rinse a few times. If there are soybean skins floating about, discard as much as you can. 3) Place drained beans and 600g of water into TM mixing bowl and cook for 6 mins/80°C/Reverse/Spd 1.5. 4) Blend for 1 min on speed 8 until smooth. 5) Add remaining 600g water, pandan leaves and sugar and cook for 6 mins/80°C/Reverse/Spd 2. 6) Let sit to cool then strain through a nut bag or strainer and serve warm, or refrigerate and serve cold. This recipe makes a less sweet version but if you prefer your soya milk to be sweeter, increase sugar to 60g. Ingredients Soya chunks – 1 kg Onion -2 no shallots -6 or 7 nos Curry leaves -2 or 3 nos Green chilli -3 nos Garlic – 5 or 6 nos Ginger -1 nos Tomato – 2 nos Turmeric powder – 1 tsp Red chilli powder -2 tsp Coriander powder -1 tsp Pepper powder -1 tsp Fennel seed -. 1 tsp Mustard seed-1 tsp Salt -1 or 2 tsp Oil -2 or 3 tbsp Method Heat water in a pan add salt and soya chunks ,boil them well and set a side for few minutes. Then drain and rewash with cold water ,then cut it into small pieces ,set aside. Take a pan add soya chunks, onion, green chilli, chopped garlic, ginger and tomatoes. Then add some curry powders like turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder , pepper powder and salt. Add some water, cover and cook them well. Remove from fire and set a side. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed and fennel seed, let’s cracked. Add dry red chilli, shallots and curry leaves fry them well. Then add cooked soya chunks curry and cook for few seconds. Ever wondered what to do with dried soybeans? This is the perfect occasion to find out what to make when your friends come over!! Hello everybody, It's nice to have you back! In this video, I will show you a simple yet delicious snack made out of soya beans. It will be both crunchy and spicy, sounds good right? :) The preparation will start a day prior, where you will have to soak 2 cups of dried soybeans in a bowl of water. This will make them bigger, so count for some extra water in that bowl. Besides that you will need the following ingredients: - 3 tbsp of oil (I made a mixture of sunflower and sesame for an extra punch) - 3 tsp salt - 2 tsp of chili (this really depends on how spicy YOU like it) - 2 tsp of seasonal cajun and fennel mix (you can find these in almost any grocery store) To start off the day of snacking, drain the soya beans and give them a good wash (take out the separated skins and the 'not so good lookin' ones'). After that, place them back in the bowl and add all the seasoning to it - give it a good mix. If you do this by hand, don't be touching your eyes - trust me on this one! Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F) on the FAN option. Take some baking paper and place it on a baking tray and nicely spread all the soya beans on it. Now it's roasting time! The baking will take around 30 minutes, but take them out every 7-8 minutes to give them a mix, so they don't burn that quickly. At last, once you take them out of the oven, you can give them some extra flavor with 2 tsp of dried paprika and then transfer them to some kitchen paper so it soaks out the extra oil. Enjoy!! Ingredients. * Soya bean 1/2 cup * Salt as per taste * Chopped tomato 1 * Grated carrot 1 * Raw Mango 1/4th * Chopped onion 1/2 * Chopped cucumber 1/2 * Lemon squeeze 1/2 * Green chillies chopped 1 * Ground as per taste * Chopped coriander 1 or 2 stalks Method 1. Soak the Soya bean overnight in 1 cup of water. 2. Don’t put too much water. 3. Add salt and boil after 8 to 10 hours. 4. If using a pressure cooker, you can cook for 3 whistles on medium heat. 5. If boiling cook until tender / you should be able to squish it between your fingers. 6. Add boiled Soya into a bowl. 7. Add all chopped vegetables. 8. Add salt as per taste. 9. Squeeze the lime juice. 10. Give it all a good mix and enjoy. Yummy protein salad is ready!
