Welcome to North Cascades National Park. Take a virtual hike through the autumn forest with our filmmaker Roman Khomlyak (00:00:00). Autumn is Roman's favorite season. It's not hard to guess why. Just look at this variety of shades, colors, and moods. Cool and cloudy days fill the forest with mystery and romance. Sunny and clear days make the woods seem to burn with a bright and warm fire. Walk along the wet ground along the trail (00:03:10), enjoy the dense forest growth, moss on tree trunks, the murmur of the river, and the beauty of the mountain forest in 4K Ultra HD. Climb the mountains along the path (04:46:32). The first snow has already fallen here, the bald cypress have already turned yellow and have begun to shed their needles, and the freshness of the approach of winter is felt as a tingle on the skin and in the lungs. Enjoy watching this forest hike video and explore the amazing forest and mountain trails of Washington State with us! Video from: #NorthCascadesNationalPark Video title: Walking at North Cascades Time of filming: November 2018 Equipment used: Blackmagic 4K camera Video type: virtual forest hike Video resolution: 4K UHD Producer: Roman Khomlyak, Pro Art Inc. Cinematographer: Roman Khomlyak Editor and colorist: Mykhailo Feshchak The North Cascade is part of a 500-mile mountain range. From Mount Shasta in California to British Columbia, the Cascade Mountains are renowned for their spectacular scenery, dense forests, and full-flowing rivers and lakes. North Cascades National Park has the largest glacial system in the United States. There are over 300 glaciers and 300 lakes in the park. This is the perfect place for hikers to view cascading waterfalls, glacier views, icy blue lakes, and stunning hiking trails. Virtual walks in the forest, especially in autumn, are great for dealing with negativity and fatigue. It is well known that in the forest, the pulse rate decreases by 15-20 beats per minute, and breathing becomes smoother and calmer. Walking here is an excellent option for relaxation and anti-stress therapy. Now, thanks to this amazing virtual forest hike you have the opportunity to go to the forest without leaving your home! ► Group Hike to PATAGONIA 🤍 ► 🤍 ► GUIDE 🤍 ► GEAR 🤍 ► PRINTS OF MADEIRA 🤍 ► This trip is made possible by Enlightened Equipment (🤍 ), SOTO (🤍 Adventure Menu (🤍 and Trek Mates (🤍 ► ABOUT THIS HIKE In January 2023 I hiked for 10 days on the Island of Madeira. I started in the small town of Porto Moniz in the west and headed up the great plateau of Paul da Serra. I visited the 25 Fontes waterfalls and passed through a 2-kilometers tunnel to get to the coastal town of Seixal. Back on the pleteau I headed east towards Pico Grande, the second tallest peak on the island. I slept in a cave and descended down to the remote town of Curral Das Freiras (the valley of the nuns) hidden in a deep valley. I climbed up to the main ridge but was forced to descend down again the next morning due to unseasonable amounts of rain and cold. The next morning I climbed back up via a different route and merged onto trail PR1 via Pico do Arieiro. PR1 is the most beautiful trail on the island. I climbed to the top of the island: Pico Ruivo at 1862 meters. I camped overlooking the valley of Curral Das Freiras with an astonishing sunset. The last day I arrived on the peninsula Ponta de Sao Lourenco, the furthest one can walk east. Mount Baloy is one of those adventures that push you to the edge of your comfort zone. It’s a steep physical challenge, but it’s the arduous conditions that make this one of the most challenging hikes in the Philippines. We were wet every single moment of the hike except when sleeping, I pulled more than 500 leeches off my body throughout the hike and the undergrowth scratched me up beyond belief. Combine that with 2,800m of incline, multiple river crossings, and rugged terrain and it’s a damn tough adventure for the body and mind. The final layer of difficulty to this hike is receiving a permit, one of the most impractical processes of any trek in the world. Without Benito, my climb simply wouldn’t have happened for so many reasons. He organized everything, accompanied me to get permits, and food, organized the local guides’ logistics, spoke English, and was one of the most helpful and friendly people I’ve met in the Philippines. ► Group Hike to PATAGONIA 🤍 🤍 Store with prints - 🤍 ABOUT THE HIKE In October 2022 I hiked a part of the Alta Via 2 route in the Dolimites, Italy. My route started at Passo Rodella (1870m) where I headed into the Peitlerkofelgruppe. I camped in Val della Roa just past Forcella della Roa (2617m). The second day I headed into the Puezgruppe and camped near the peak of Sass da Ciampac (2667m). Day 3 I headed down to Passo Gardena (2121m) and up into Gruppo del Sella into the fog. I passed Refugio Franco Cavazza al Piscidù (2587m) and headed through the snow to Refugio Boè without seeing a single person. On day 4 the weather had cleared and I headed down to Passo Pordoi from where I drove to Gruppo della Marmolada only to find out my originally planned route was closed off due to recent avalanche activity last summer. Plan B: I drove to Malga Ciapela, and headed up to Pas de Ombreta (2702m) on the backside of the Marmolada Gruppo. I spent the night at Bivacco Marco Dal Bianco. Day 5: Trail E650 to the peak Ombreta Orientale (3011m), then via the AV2 route to Passo de le Cirèle (2683m) and Passo San Pelligrino. On day 6 I headed to Passo Valles from whereI made my way to Bivacco Giorgio Brunner on the AV2 route, via Forcella Margherita (2655m) and Passo delle Farangole (2814m). Day 7 I merged back with the AV2, passed Refugio di Rosetta and Refugio Pradidali then headed up into the massif of Pale di San Martino Parco Naturale. I tried to reach another bivacco only to find out it was only reachable by a climbers route. Instead I wild camped on the (cold) plateau. On day 8 I headed to Passo delle Lede and down to Val Canali. From there I drove to the Tre Cime (Dreizinnen) where I spent my final night above the Dreizinnenhütte on Sasso di Sesto (2539m). Itinerary on 🤍 This trip is made possible by SOTO. The Lofoten Islands, located in northern Norway about 130 kilometers (80 miles) above the Arctic Circle, form an archipelago in the Norwegian Sea. These islands stretch east-west direction in the Norwegian Sea across a total length of approximately 122 kilometers (76 miles). These islands are characterized by their rugged mountain ranges that rise abruptly from the surrounding waters. About 80% of the islands' surface is covered by mountains. On day 1 and 2 I hiked the Matmora ridge, day 3 to the frozen lake of Botnvatnet. On day 4 I made it to Vestvågøya island and hiked towards Leknes via Dalstuva where I camped on top of the mountain. On day 5 I watched the midnight sun above the clouds at 3am, and the next morning I hiked down to Konsfjordpollen to spend a night inside. On day 6 I started hiking on Moskenesøya and hiked to Ryten peak, Kvalvika beach and Horseidvika beach. On day 7 I hiked to Kjerkfjorden and took the ferry to Vindstad. I finished with climbing Hermannsdalstinden. On day 8 I got to Å, and spent the night next to Ågvatnet. Join us on the ultimate backpacking adventure with animals and waterfalls and more.. LET'S BE FRIENDS 🤍 HEY EVERYBODY!! My dad and I woke up really early to do something really fun! We wanted to go hiking in the mountains!! For Father's Day we got my dad a new hiking backpack that we wanted to test out! We filled his backpack all the way up with stuff we needed for hiking - Water bottles, snacks, a first aid kit, a filter straw so that we could drink the river water, hiking clothes, and I even packed a small purse for me with a lot of toys in it! After we packed up everything we got in the car and drove to the mountains! When we got there we had to find the trail and follow it! My dad told me it was going to be a long hike but luckily I was really excited and I was ready for a challenge! While on our walk we got to see a lot of interesting things like giant mushrooms, animal paths, waterfalls, a doggy, a lot of bugs, and a hidden bridge in the middle of the forest! When we got to the hidden bridge we thought it was a great idea to sit down and take a break so that we could eat some snacks and gain some energy and it definitely worked! As we were getting closer to the top, my dad and I made up a really good hiking song that helped us when it got hard!! It was really cool to be able to climb my first mountain! my last video - NiKO on a ROCKET - Unicorn Catch Update!! On May 9th, 2022, I began my 5 month long thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail. It would end up being the greatest adventure of my life. This film, Every Single Step, is the raw and real story and documentary of a first time thru-hiker hiking from Mexico to Canada on the PCT and absolutely everything that comes with it. From run-ins with bears, summiting snowy passes, dealing with wildfires, making wild wanderer friends, seeing some of the most beautiful places on Earth, and surviving yet thriving in these truly wild spaces, I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did creating it. ▶︎ Check out my TikTok Pacific Crest Trail series I made while out there: 🤍 ▶︎ Spotify playlist of all my trail songs I used in the film: 🤍 ▶︎ Instagram: 🤍 CHAPTERS: 00:00:00 - Intro 00:01:23 - NASCENCE in The Desert 00:21:29 - MAGNIFICENCE in The Sierra 00:44:15 - AMBIVALENCE in Northern California 00:54:58 - ESSENCE in Oregon 01:08:51 - QUINTESSENCE in Washington 01:23:22 - CONFLUENCE at Journey's End STATS: 2,804 total miles hiked 6.2 million steps taken 952,000 feet of elevation change ~750,000 calories consumed 187 GB of photo and video taken 4 black bears 0 mountain lions 3 scorpions 5 elk 5 rattlesnakes 19 marmots 1 bald eagle 1 pika Endless chipmunks, mice, deer, and lizards GEAR LIST: Big 4 Items (and accessories): Gossamer Gear Mariposa Backpack Gossamer Gear The One Trekking Pole Tent Gossamer Gear Polycro Ground Sheet Leki Khumbu Lite Trekking Poles Enlightened Equipment Enigma Down Quilt Nemo Switchback Ground Sleeping Pad Clothing: Altra Lone Peaks 6 Injinji Crew Toe Socks Darn Tough 1/4 Cushion Light Socks Meriwool Boxer Briefs Montane Terra Pack Pants Rab Pulse Sun Hoody Columbia Fleece Jacket (Washington only) Enlightened Equipment Torrid Down Jacket Frogg Toggs Ultra Lite 2 Rain Gear Oklahoma State Cap Dirty Girl Gaiters Trail magic bandana Bug Head Net Glacier Glove Ascension Bay Sun Gloves (Desert only) Tech: Anker PowerCore 20,000mAh Portable Battery All needed charging cords Apple power adapter iPhone 11 Garmin inReach Mini Nitecore NU-20 Headlamp Apple EarPods Misc. ► Group Hike to PATAGONIA 🤍 🤍 STORE WITH PRINTS - 🤍 In October 2018 I did my first ever backpacking trip in Yosemite National Park, California, USA. I did 2 trips: 1. a 5-day trip starting in Tuolumne Meadows. Total Length: 81.8 km | Max Elevation: 3253 m | Min Elevation: 2160 m | Total Ascent: 3833 m 2. a 4-day trip starting in Yosemite Valley and looping around Tenaya Canyon. Total Length: 71.0 km | Max Elevation: 3026 m | Min Elevation: 1211 m | Total Ascent: 3798 m. Full travel itinerary on: 🤍 Follow me on Instagram: 🤍 ABOUT MAKING CAMPFIRES Due to years of drought and massive wildfires, lighting campfires during hiking season in the Sierra Nevada is no longer recommended. If you do make a campfire, be sure to check all current burn bans and follow all fire regulations as per the land management and permitting agency for your trip area. In addition to your backcountry permit, you must obtain a separate California fire permit in the Sierra. Fire sites near brush, trees, pine duff and other flammable materials are no longer safe. Choose bare rock if possible. Other fire safety methods for clearing a site include cleaning the fire site down to bare dirt, but this counterindicates Leave No Trace principles of minimal impact, which campers should follow at all times in the backcountry. Don't cut wood for fires, choose pre-impacted tent sites, take care not to damage vegetation, pack absolutely all trash, consumables and TP out with you. If you have a legal campfire, make absolutely certain no sparks escape to spread the fire, and put out the fire entirely after you are done with it, using the drown-stir-feel method described in the CA Fire Permit safety test. Don't be the reason for the next giant burn in the Sierra. Take only photos, leave only footprints.
