Really? 25 hours a week isn't even a bog standard 9 - 5 on five days a week! (35 - 37 hours, depending on lunch break) I thought I had it easy, but apparently I have it quite tough according to some of these people.....

Give that last video another examination. If you listen closely, he said he's supposed to be scheduled for two 8 hr shifts (one on each weekend day) but they keep making him work the entire day every weekend for a variety of reasons - mainly poor management/scheduling. Not only that - it's one thing to have hurried, stressful working conditions, but he also has to deal with the poor and homeless in the store all that time. With a full-time school load that pretty much takes away a lot of study/homework time plus any relaxation time. Depending on what year he's in that might present major problems for him. 18-20 year olds tend to NOT be that organized or have enough life experience to know when/how to call bullshit on an employer. No wonder he's so stressed out. The mis-gendering was just the straw that broke the donkey's back. It's easy to laugh at the kid's predicament, but if you actually listen to what he says you might find a bit of sympathy for him. Saying that, melting down at work didn't help him sell his point. I was lucky - I served in the Army before going to college and wasn't stressed out with a job on top of studies. I pitied many who were in that position for their troubles, especially if they had children. I think this person is still pretty young and needs life lesssons on when it's OK to say NO to managers and bosses, and when to refuse hours that interfere with their main life goal like school. Then he needs to learn that it's OK to quit for a job that accomodates that goal if Starbucks won't. Frankly, in his situation, most people would have turned to drugs or drink. He could have gone postal on a shopful of people after one jerk pushed him too far. Instead he had a little meltdown - no biggie.

I used to work for a Gene & Cell Therapy company that manufactured cures for genetic diseases. Babies, people relied on us to save their lives. I used to work in a team that all left and there was only 4 of us in a team that should’ve been 6. I used to work 12 hours, 16 hours at a time with 30 minute break. I got very well paid but I wasn’t motivated by the pay. I was proud to do it in order to save lives and stop life-threatening diseases that would allow a family to have their baby. I do a 25 Hour per week Job now and I honestly feel like I’m on vacation 😂 Ig it’s Society’s fault for making young people’s lives easier that when it comes to working it’s a little too much for them. It’s okay if you don’t like your job leave and go back to school to do something you enjoy. It’s important to find something you love, don’t be heartbroken about working a job you don’t like you have to treat it as a learning experience to understand what you don’t like 🤗
